The little things you can do without being asked...

So I was debating on what to write about for this next post, until I woke up the other morning and it finally hit me: The little things you can do without being asked.

My mom and I have been sharing a bed for the past couple weeks, and I had slept this particular morning later than usual. I woke up trying to think of any little thing that I could do that would help
Make That Change in someone else's life. Our family has the "always make your bed rule," even if its just before your going to get into it. So normally, being the lazy person I am, would get up and get ready for my day before heading into the kitchen to eat, leaving the bed unmade... Which would just lead to one of my parents telling me to make it, or my mom just doing it herself.

When I got out of bed, I stopped and said to myself, "why not make the bed now, instead of mom having to go through the hassle." I didn't realize till later on, that I was making a small change in my moms life without her even knowing it. The rest of the day I tried to do as much as I could without anyone having to ask me. Emptying the dishwasher, clearing the table, setting the table, picking things up that were misplaced, etc...

By doing things before were asked even if they are small, helps the ones around us in a way we could never understand. Even if no one acknowledges it, doesn't mean they don't notice that you saved them the time and effort.

So... here is your new assignment.

Go out and look around you, find something that you can do that will help make someones life a little bit easier... You will be amazed at how nice it feels to Make That Change in someone else's life...
